Chapters are separate corporations that professionals
form for their local region (see
above
for areas that are currently forming new chapters). They become
"affiliates" by this process:
- Get ten members that pay annual dues $68 each to IAI.
IAI keeps 1/2 ($240) for HQ costs. The other $240 is given
back to "IAI-X" (chapter location). Additional dues may
be added for local expenses.
- Eight officers send in an e mail to
Oxana@Angelinvestors.org
with subject: "city/state/country name; NEW Chapter".
- The eight officers specify their different roles as:
- Chapter Chairman & Liaison to IAI HQ.
- Chapter President.
- Program Chair.
- Treasurer.
- Marketing.
- Financial Support Chair.
- University Liaison Chair.
- Legal Affairs Chair.
They also supply brief CV's and references.
- They all state that they have read the Vision Statement
and Mission Statement and agree with it. They also state
that their chapter is and will be a non profit education
business league (501.c.6). The eight shall state they do
not have a conflict of interest, and will work in the best
interests of their local chapter as well as IAI's Head Quarters.
- Upon review and approval they will be designated: an affiliate
of IAI with the designation: "IAI-cityname".
- Links will be set up to the various parties.
- Quarterly reports will be sent to IAI's HQ with activities
summaries: Total Members, Recent Events, etc. 8. IAI Headquarters
reserves the right to rescind the "affiliate" designation
at any time at IAI's sole discretion. We look forward to
working with you.
